When discussions began about moving into their new location a local phenolic duct fabricator, Commercial Comfort Systems, offered a paintable solution with Kingspan KoolDuct. Because their exposed system would be painted white, dust would accumulate and be particularly visible. By utilizing the lower air leakage rates, this retail location found many aesthetic benefits with no unsightly "stripes" where leakage would be visible. The smooth aluminum facing on both sides of KoolDuct allowed for a clean exterior look of metal ductwork without a fibrous liner on the inside.
